We believe that, in order to arrive at a better future, we must be able to imagine and create that better future, beyond the limitations of our present conditions.

The New Impact Fund provides an opportunity for members to make tangible, sustainable impacts on commerce, wealth creation, and job creation in the Twin Cities.

There are two main modes of membership differing by engagement and time commitments: Cohort Members and Supporting Members.

Cohort Membership:

Active participation in 6-10 people ‘cohorts’ that decide on pre-vetted investments and participate in a facilitated curriculum on topics like racial justice, capital access, and working with BIPOC business owners. In short, you’d join a cohort of investors committed to racial justice.

Cohort Members will meet with their cohorts in-person and virtually for highly curated learning and engagement experiences to:

Build meaningful connections: Forge relationships with BIPOC business owners and in a trusted peer group of cohort members to unlock the power of your social capital for a lasting impact.

Deepen your understanding: Collaborate with peers, learn from notable experts, and gain the knowledge and tools to drive meaningful change in the local lending landscape and beyond.

Invest with Confidence: Active participation in discussions around allocating our cohorts' financial and social capital to promising BIPOC business.

Supporting Members:

Optional attendance at an in-person annual event highlighting the New Impact Fund’s impact. Supporting Members will invest in BIPOC business owners decided upon by Cohort Members. They will also receive an impact report, including stories and entrepreneurs' progress, among other things. including stories and entrepreneurs' progress, plus detailed information available only to Supporting Members.

This membership experience is for those that want to:

Make a direct impact: Invest in a collective pool of capital strategically deployed to support BIPOC-owned businesses.

Simplify your involvement: Participate in the impact with minimal time commitment.

Focus on results: Follow the progress of the businesses you support and see the tangible impact on both the companies and the community.

Investments Provide

Restoration: Support the self-determined restoration of BIPOC communities that have been strategically and systemically denied access to the resources needed to achieve self-sufficiency.

High-level networks to tap.

Foundational capital: We can go where the market won’t.

No-cost capital: Savings passed on to clients.

Collective contribution to our Evergreen Loan Fund – capital does not need to be returned to investors. It is deployed again and again.

Total capital flexibility: There are no boxes that businesses need to fit into. We meet people where they are and deploy funds in a manner that allows them to reach their potential on their terms.
